In this episode, Dan has a conversation with Karl France. Karl is the assistant men's volleyball coach at NYU. Karl and Dan have a friendship that goes over many years, and this episode is the result of a casual conversation they had during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. The discussion in this episode centers around the words "normal" and "average" and how they are often misunderstood or used too commonly.
