Tracy Lamouire Interview (S3:E03)

Dan gets to chat with an international PR rock star, Tracy Lamourie.  It is a great session about making the jump and starting a company, why everyone needs a PR person, and how the pandemic has changed things a little.  Oh yeah, she also helped save a man from death row (check out the Jimmy Dennis article in the show notes.  It will blow your mind).  I have to admit that I know little to nothing about PR, but this episode was great.  I got to learn a lot.  I suggest everyone check out Tracy's work and think about how you NEED a PR firm for your business, regardless of size and scope.

Jay Hosack Interview (S2:E09)

In this episode, Dan has a conversation with Jay Hosack.  Jay and Dan's friendship goes back a few years and in this episode, they talk about the coaching ladder.  How to move up the coaching ranks and the interesting idea of SHOULD you move up in the coaching ranks.  It is great to hear how Jay made the decision to move from sunny California to across the country and Happy Valley.  There are also some great moments about key decisions in both Dan and Jay's coaching careers, like Jay getting the blessing from Penn State Head Coach, Mark Pavlik, to pursue a head coaching job.  This is a great informal chat between two friends.

Claudio Reilsono Interview (S2:E08)

Karl France Interview - Part 1 (S2:E07)

In this episode, Dan has a conversation with Karl France.  Karl is the assistant men's volleyball coach at NYU.  Karl and Dan have a friendship that goes over many years, and this episode is the result of a casual conversation they had during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.  The discussion in this episode centers around the words "normal" and "average" and how they are often misunderstood or used too commonly.  Dan also opens up about his thoughts on the MJ, Kobe, and LBJ debate.  There was just not enough to cover in this one session, so stay tuned for Part II of the chat.

Erik Weiss Interview (S2:E06)

Donnie Reeser Interview - Part 2 (S2:E05)

DJ Roueche Interview (S2:E04)

 
This episode is a blast.  Dan has a "sit down" with the always entertaining DJ (Jeremy) Roueche.  DJ Roueche is the current DJ for the Los Angeles Lakers, the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour, and one of the DJs for the Rio Beach Olympic games.  DJ Roueche is also 1/2 of the Suicide Doors, an amazing band based in the L.A. area.  They talk about life choices and crazy journeys.
A note from Dan: "DJ Roueche is such an awesome guy and an even better human being.  I have had the pleasure of playing sitting volleyball with him for the past 5 years, and it was great to have him on the back-to-back National Championship team.  We talk about how his crazy life even happened, those forks in the road that changed his life, and of course the gold medals we share.  It was a great chat!"
